| The Porirua Fire Station is located on Mungavin Avenue, 30 seconds from the Porirua City centre. The Station has three appliances, two paid staff and one volunteer.
The Porirua area has a varied range of industrial, suburban and rural areas, including two hospitals, assembly plants, a large shopping complex and the main highway and railway into Wellington, the capital city.
